such a talented lady, but most importantly deborah was a sweet gentle soul. may she rest in peace where the other great actresses and actors lie.

She should have won several Oscars ,her brilliant acting in "Edward, My Son," "The King and I," "Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison" , "The Sundowners ", she didn't even got Oscar nominations for " The Innocents" or "Black Narcissus"...but when you're THAT good, who needs an Oscar?
What a splendid actress and lady! One of the very best!

As is typical for the American Academy who have a long terrible history for awarding Oscars for the wrong reasons they eventually right it with honorary awards

Kerr was brilliant, but vastly underrated in the history of movie acting. That is most unfortunate. She could define a character by the emotion in her voice, alone. She was amazingly versatile. Her personality did not define her performances. Among my many favorites is her role in "The Innocents". She was an early Meryl Streep.

NaomisCellPhone, I think your comment say's so much of the hollywood of today. I'm glad she finally got this award, though it shouldn't have been the first oscar she received.
