Adelaide's Independent Theatre is proud to present the Australian Premiere production of the 2010 Tony Award winning Best Play, "RED" by John Logan.
Tortured genius, Mark Rothko, is one of the greatest painters of the mid-20th century. In 1958, he is paid a phenomenal sum of money to paint a set of murals for New York's ritzy new Seagram Building. For 2 years, he struggles to create these masterpieces. A series of explosive confrontations with his idealistic young assistant, Ken, forces Rothko to re-evaluate his motives in accepting the commission.
Directed by Rob Croser
With David Roach as Mark Rothko
and Paul-William Mawhinney as his assistant Ken.
