Canoeists stumble upon remains of the wreck of the Skagway. This video was of interest to marine archeologists searching for the wreck of the Skagway. I corresponded with them by email to help locate the wreck.
That canoe is very seaworthy and we have never swamped it, but we are prepared with flotation attached inside at the gunnels. We always carry dry gear in dry bags and wear pfds. The canoe is 18ft long, 36 inches wide and 18 inces deep.

It was sitting on the reef where it came to grief several years ago. What we saw of it looks like a huge engine block to me.
