A memorial to all babies who have died prematurely due to abortion, miscarriage, or other means.
May the Lord protect these little ones, share his mercy and love, and hold them in the palm of his hand.

Many people have asked where they can get this song. It can be found itunes. It's called "On Eagles Wings" (no apostrophe) and it's sung by Angela Birkhead-Flight. The album is At the Supper of the Lamb.

Lyrics: You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, "My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust."
Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear;
Under His Wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.

Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.

Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
For to His angels He's given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Why? How about because there are more people of religion in the world than there are atheists....I'm sure the percentages are proportionate...and what is your reference for those statistics? I would ask you to go back and read the definition of bigotry and then come back and read what you've posted. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" John 8:7

  • Beautifully put together. Thanks for taking the time to do this and thank God for his compassion in all matters. I know he is watching over all the children who were too pure to be born into this world and are with him in heaven.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS MY SON ROMAN A. MATA WAS HIT AND KILLED BY AN SUV WHILE I PUSHED HIM IN HIS STROLLER, MY SON WAS ONLY 6 MONTHS OLD...MY HEART N MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THOSE MOTHERS WHO LOST THEIR CHILDREN(s)...NO MATTER HOW THEY PASTED THE PAIN IS GREATLY SHARED EQUALLY!!.. I'D LOVED TO TALKED WITH MOTHERS WHO STILL ARE TROUBLE GRIEVING BECAUSE OF THEIR CHILD'S DEATH ...THERE NOT A DAY THAT DOESNT GO BY THAT I DONT FIND MYSELF TROUBLED TO GRIEVE OVER MY SON...LOOK ME UP CLAYDAMATA@GMAIL

  • Good point about mothers who die prematurely. That research should be publicized. As from my previous note, I thank God that the doctors and nurses reacted so quickly in our case and weren't delayed by numbers crunched into an equation to determine whether it was worth doing or not.

  • How about a memorial for mothers who die prematurely (one every 90 seconds) because women are undervalued and denied lifesaving health care?

  • @hannabelletrackstar I sing hymns to my son (three years old) every night before bed. I have an illustrated book about Jesus and on every page I sing a different song. It really relaxes him and sometimes he tries to sing along;)

  • I want to sing these songs to my children at night when I grow up. A lot of the songs I hear in church make me feel happy and I hope it will make them happy, too!

  • Thank you very much for posting this video. My wife and I lost our son stillborne after a 6 months pregnancy in 2008. I remember holding my son, while the doctors rushed my wife to intensive care due to complications she experienced after the delivery. On Eagle's Wings was one of the songs I sang to him. We walk with Christ daily, but at that time he carried us through our pain. Thanks again for such a lovely video. I see that He found a wonderful person to let his Love shine through.

  • Besides the fact that the unborn child has a heart beat , that child is a creation of God and is sacred and must not be touched.
