  • Where is the valve adjustment throttle?

  • valve adjustment throttle? what do you mean?

Throttle is in the Throttle body not in where the valves are.

  • hey, it's difficult to say from just this video. With 535s it's common to have the valves adjusted every 10000mi / 15000kms. Do you hear any throttle loss when gassing up from 0 rpm? If the revs go down the first second, that could point to inefficient valve adjustment. With my 535, it made a huge difference.

  • actually you know what, when i blip the revs the engine does kinda stutter before the revs go up. thanks for the info mate

  • That's funny, on my 1990 535i, I paid the dealer $120. Other places like Meineke ($500) or Pepboys ($350) we're trying to rape me lol

  • do it yourself

  • sorry, didn't think the 1st reaction made it. They're both above.

  • okay, no problems but have it fixed. The cam shaft could suffer if you wait too long. Of course, avoid the BMW dealer and resort to a good specialist who knows its old BMWs.

    Godspeed ;-)

  • oh and don't go to the bmw dealers -- they charge you triple of the price a good specialist does.
