The video was taken at an event that was held to celebrate the FDA approval of TransOral Robotic Surgery (TORS), a minimally invasive surgical approach that was developed by head and neck surgeons at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Highlights include interviews with the developers and pioneers of this groundbreaking procedure, Dr. Bert W. O'Malley, Jr., Gabriel Tucker Professor and Chair, Department of Otorhinolaryngology -- Head and Neck Surgery, and Dr. Gregory S. Weinstein, Professor and Vice Chair, Department of Otorhinolaryngology -- Head and Neck Surgery.
In addition the video features an interview with Cynthia Miller, a TORS patient, about her experience. It also includes brief interviews with other patients about their experience with Penn Medicine and interviews with Penn Medicine physicians about the impact that this procedure is having on medicine today.

Outstanding video which shows the incredible advancements in technology which aid in cancer treatment. I may be bias, because I am a patient at Penn but Dr. Weinstein, Dr. Quon, and all who are associated with the hospital are the best in the business. I would highly recommend anyone who has cancer of the head and neck to go to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital for treatment.
