The last two weekends of October always bring screams of terror and delight at Fort Knox, Propsect, Maine. The Friends of Fort Knox annual Halloween event, Fright at the Fort, takes place within the granite walls and tunnels of the 1800s seacoast fort. Visitors are greeted by zombies, ghouls, ghosts and other creatures of the night. Proceeds support the organization's ongoing mission to preserve the National Historic Landmark.
Wow. I seriously hated fright night. Some jerk blew an airhorn right next to my ear and I almost went deaf in my left ear. Very mad. But other than that, I thought it was really fun and thrilling.

Great Event...the best I've ever visited...can't ask for a better location that the fort...which is even spooky on a sunny day!
