Robert De Niro is best best: Raging Bull, The Deer Hunter, Once Upon A Time In America explains that he is the best, but Al Pacino is right behind him.

@cb9603 However don't forget his other movies such as "Awakenings", "Cape Fear", "The Last Tycoon", "The Deer Hunter", "True Confessions", "The King of Comedy", "Brazil", "The Mission", "Angel Heart", "Backdraft", "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein", "Sleepers", "Marvin's Room", "Wag the Dog", "Great Expectations", "Ronin", "Flawless", "City by the Sea", "What Just Happened", "Hide and Seek", and "Meet the Fockers". These characters have different personalities, flaws and levels of morality issues.

@Monsterrrs4r See, I don't know why you are basing somone's career by the last decade. Just because Taxi Driver wasn't made in the last decade, or last couple decades for that matter, doesn't mean he still isn't a great actor. So I'm confused where this decade cut off comes from.
-
True. Heat is debatable though. Nevertheless, they are all made well all over roughly 10 years ago. Last decade Deniro played more versatile roles than he did before..
-
@Monsterrrs4r Well lets see, in Goodfellas, Casino, The Untouchables, Heat, and Once Upon a Time in America, DeNiro plays all the same type of character involved in the evil side of crime. Are they are all EXACTLY the same characters when you break it down? No. Neither is Al Pacino's. But, they are, nevertheless, the same TYPE of character.

@cb9603 i'd say you can't make any logic out of two exsamples. Name me 5 movies where Deniro played the same type, and you have a point:-)
Come on you'd have to agree, Al pacino ALWAYS plays the same type! played, and its the SAME friggin type! Ambitious, bit tormented, loud mouthed. i'm just saying Deniro is more versatile, wich makes him a bettter allround actor..
-
@Monsterrrs4r By your logic then, DeNiro must not be that great of an actor because he played basically the same roles in Goodfellas and Casino. Doesn't make sense does it?
-
@cb9603 I'd say a decade would by any standard make for a career :-) besides that, yes Al apcino played brilliant roles, and my point is that those roles were over 15 years ago. Nothing really good- in comparison with the early work- has been made. Devils advocate is the exception. De niro played What just happened, the fockers & Analyze that. Hardly the same role, and all played very, very well..
That my friend is acting, and the difference with Al Pacino.
-
@Monsterrrs4r "That was decades ago...it doesn't count!!" You're fuckin stupid. You're basing someone's career in the past 10 years?
-
De Niro better than Al Pacino anytime!
pointless clip. why is some bozo yelling "bobby d" as if he knows him?

hell no. Deniro can actually act, Pacino plays the same role over and over again. plays it well, no doubt, and its the same role nevertheless..
