Ethanol is NOT a good alternative! It will raise the price of wheat and corn dramatically. Also, using food crops to create fuel will create a food shortage, and even if we cover the earth planting crops for ethanol, we will never be able to replace the oil. Ethanol is a death trap to civilization. If all of our crop land in the US were devoted to corn for ethanol, only 2% of the fuel needs* would be satisfied. AND WE WOULD ALL STARVE TO DEATH!!!!!!!!
