@MechaRadio Silent Hill series is basically a Jacob's Ladder & Twin Peaks tribute. (Among many other sources of inspiration. Lots of obscure artfilms are cited by the creators too.) It is good but watered down compared to things like that. Instead of asking for a Silent Hill movie you should be looking to things in the similar vein of the game as you'll be getting a purer and more interesting experience.

is it possible that there's a message within the pattern of movement? i honestly don't know nearly enough to make any conclusions about the boxes, but the way they move around, the pattern i mean. how two move off to the side and the third flies straight up

The impression I'm getting from this video is... James wandering around SIlent Hill searching for Mary, basically.
I get the symbolism of what everyone's already stated so far, but as for those squares...I honestly thought it was supposed to be the save file emblem lol?

@MechaRadio personally i refuse to believe that the silent hill movie existed, and instead prefer to tape the words "silent hill" over the cover art of the jacobs ladder dvd.
