  • how's he doing these days? he was in a bad bit or a whle, i know...

  • Marty's doing fine- last time I saw him was in July at this party but I've seen on the Chills site (softbomb.com) that the newest lineup has been doing some gigs of late so that's gotta be a good sign. The night he sang in Dunedin he was in great voice and fine spirits. Cheers!

  • Thanks for putting this up. Submarine Bells is such an incredible piece of work and this song in particular is the highlight of the album (cd...whatever).

  • This is great, thanks for posting

  • What an absolute load of shit, you missed the point completely! Life isn't fair, boo hoo you fucken cry-baby!!

  • Yes, Mr. Obvious, the point was if life was fair (and it isn't) MP and the Chills should have been massive. But to say it's far richer is elitist. Unless his music gets heard by those of us converted, it really gets lost in history.

  • A lot of great bands never make millions but somehow form a part of history that becomes far richer. Martin Phillips has done that, so he should be very proud.Brilliant muso!!

  • Oh how cool. Thanks for sharing this!!!

  • Wow does sum this up. A guy at a party, one guitar, no mic...thinks is better than 99.9% of the crap that passes for music nowadays. The masses have no taste. The Chills should have been massive.

  • This is the song which I think best sums up the Chills. Great tune, wistful, thoughtful, direct lyrics.

  • Glad to hear it. Thanks for the vid!
