On July 13th, 2009, the WWRR makes history once again in their first civil war skirmish in years. Before the flood of 1999, the WWRR ran these trains in September (Correct me if I'm wrong) and sold a lot of tickets. Today, the hold this event every 2nd. weekend in July. In this video you will see 98 pulling the combined, 4 coaches, and a caboose. 915 was needed for the second train because the rails were too slippery for 98 alone. When the 915 tried to couple up to the caboose the first time, the drop pin on 915 didn't want to drop. The crew eventually coupled the 915 and the caboose and were ready for the second trip to Yorklyn.
So relax, take off your shoes, and watch the WWRR make history in Wilmington & Western: Civil War Skirmish '09.
