Great sounds! I just buy with SR5!

@YourFavoriteLesbo hey thanks. i already have GR4 and amplitube and kontakt 4 if that's needed for v metal. once again, thanks for the info. cheers
-
@SEPTICSOUNDS13 Actually, Javi Perera's demo (youtube[dot]com/watch?v=_OPF7
Mijakw) has a low A riff, I believe. (the first riff played.) His stuff is worlds better than anything I could ever do, so give that a listen. Unfortunately, v-metal does need a 3rd party amp simulator, so unless you pirate stuff, it'll cost you a bit extra. Totally worth it though since as far as sample guitars go, Prominy has the most detailed, imho. -
@YourFavoriteLesbo thanks for the info. it would be awsome if you could upload a little sample of your lower tuning riffs. i have looked around and there are no demo's that have used anything below C. let me know if you decide to post anything. one other thing....does v metal have it's own amp simulators or do need something like guitar rigg or amplitube? thanks

I hear a few notes not in tune
-
@SEPTICSOUNDS13 And within the Kontakt instrument, it has a pitch change knob. The guitar is tuned to C, so if you set the knob to -3, it'd effectively "tune" the guitar to A. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd post up a few demos.
-
@SEPTICSOUNDS13 They only sampled down to drop c, but if you manually tune it down, you can get good results with a low A. It's also possible to tune it down to F# and it still be functional, but the attack of the notes is slow, so super fast playing might sound weird. Another downfall is that you have to tune the entire library down, so it helps to have two instances; one tuned down for low notes and one standard for low C and higher.
-
@Cytem have you tried shreddage x for lower tunings. i got a demo on my page that was written in G sharp. shreddage is only suited to rythm really. it does have higher octaves but no where near the quality of this program.

@YourFavoriteLesbo hi, i glanced at the spec for v metal and i thought it only goes down to c. i have shreddage x and i do like the lowere tunings but c is still metal enough for me. does v metal have the option to go lower than c or do you have to manually lower it with pitch and key altering software? cheers
-
@Cytem I play eight string, and as a sketch pad, pitch shifting it down does really well. I think you can still play fast passages convincingly enough dropped down to A. Below that and it still works, but if you play really fast passages it might sound a bit weird, but if you have heavy distortion, I've written decent songs dropped from C down to F#.
It will be released on 25th November 2011. We started taking pre-orders today.
