M17X R2 Mobility Radeon HD 4870 x2? CrossfireX Furmark / CPU-Z

I've had my All Powerful M17X for about a week and a half now. I am absolutely loving it. Being so expensive I expect it to perform at its finest. Just a few questions concerning the beast.

Intel® Core™ i7-820QM Processor (1.73GHz,4 Cores/8 Threads,turbo up to 3.06GHz, 8MB Cache)

8GB (2 x 4GB) Dual-channel 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive (500GBx2)(Raid 1)
8X DVD + /-RW Drive with DVD + R double layer write capability
CrossFireX(TM) Dual 1GB GDDR3 ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 4870

Question to the M17X experts out there:

on the gpu-z why does the fan speed apparently stay on 30% when its obviously changing from low to high? you can hear it change. and why does it not display the fans rpm? also on the bottom left of the gpu-z application you can change to see from one ati mobility radeon hd 4870 to another ati mobility radeon hd 4870. but shouldnt they be sharing load % as it is running crossfire x. but instead i get one going to 100% load and the other staying 0% as if its letting one card do all the work and the other is just on idle. whts the purpose of the second card when its not doing anything apparently. Ive tried running gpu-z on the background and playing a game eg. crysis warhead. i play it for a bit and then when the fans are kicked in and i know the the gupus are at work i go and check the gpu-z sensors and i always get one of the cards going 100% load. and the other is not helping out and staying on 0% sometimes 5%. my main question is. shouldn't the two be working together as it is running crossfire x?

gpu-z is probly failing to read em properly if u got a maxed out game runnin n gpu-z is still saying 0-5% then its failing to read the mobility crossfire correctly.

i use HWiNFO for my readings n to change my fan speeds mainly bc i havent found anythin that will let me change the fan speeds other than HWiNFO.

Hi, I have a ATI HD 5850 X 2 Crossfire and I noticed the same thing with my second GPU activity.

1 GPU is in 96 % load the second GPU 0%.

But Benchmarks results are better in Crossfire than single GPU while the second card is not working.

Now, Did you have an explanation for this problem?
