Well worth it, I own one of the LTD Owle's myself and love it.
As far as your test, without Owle you have a zoomed big head and you sound like your whispering, and with the Owle and external Owle mic you can see your whole kitchen behind you and you sound loud and clear! Pass in my book. :0)
