The US Fed has foreign reserves of $78 billion, the Chinese foreign reserve is - wait for it...... $1.7 trillion. If China start bailing out of their USD position then the US dollar will collapse. There will be a catastrophic run on the dollar. If you're an American - in 2010, you'll be able to feed yourself or put gas in your car or pay your rent or buy medicine - you will have a choice of 1 of these things. Not 2,3 or 4 - just 1. The US$ will die, thus the US will not afford oil or food.sad
