If you have a sliding door that will not operate unless you manually open it, this video will show you how to gain access to the chain to fix the broken wires.

  • Right on target! My passenger door failed like this and was repaired while still under warranty. Today it was the driver side's turn, and no more warranty for me. My ground wire was broken exactly where your indicated, and this was an easy do-it-yourself. Anyone else think that 50,000+ views of this video might possibly somehow suggest this is a design defect that should be a covered out-of-warranty fix? Hello, Chrysler???? (Sorry, I know I'm dreaming...)

  • @dayzzzed One would think that Chrysler would take a look at all the problems with the power doors and realize it is a design flaw and fix it. Glad the video helped you.

  • my door worked fine earlier today, then later today when i pushed the open button its would open about 2 inches and make a clicking sound, would this be the same problem as in the video?

  • @mnm7372 Our door would only open about 2 inches also, but never made the clicking sound. Guess it wouldn't hurt to try and see if it is the problem as it doesn't take that long. Good luck!

  • I still follow this and am glad I was to help so many people!

  • Where can i buy the chain and what is it call

  • @alexmtz31 I would try your local parts store. They will probably be able to tell you what it is called. Good luck.

  • Thanks for the post i found 3 breaks in two wires on our 2006 town and country. Cost from the dealer to replace the wire and housing $300. This fix took 15 minutes topps Thanks to all who post these repair type videos

  • Thanks for posting this video. I just fixed my 2007 T&C following your instructions. This saved a whole lot of money!

  • Thank you for posting this!! My drivers side door went out last year, then just a few days ago the passenger side door went out. I followed your instructions in your video and had both doors fixed in under an hour!! Thank you!!!!

  • I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!! Watched your video, 5 minutes later I had found the cut wire! 10 minutes later I had spliced it with a heat shrink butt connector and all back together and works perfect! Thanks again!

  • Awesome! I Just did this today on my 2005 Town and Country and found a wire that had severed somehow.

I found that it was easier to disconnect the plastic links and push the loos part up toward the door to have easier access to the wires. Just another way to get at it.

  • @laibro1 This video is GREAT! I just fixed my van doors (both of them!) for about $6.00. Thank you SO much for posting this!!!
