Making Fire in the snow

Our Daughters practice their fire making skills in the snow. We try to get them out and let them practice as often as possible. The best way to learn is to try, fail and try again. Thats the way to build confidence in your skills.

Way to get the girls out fellas!!!! Practice makes perfect. I never learned a thing from being successful. Only after failing was I able to learn. Merry Christmas!!!

It's always great to see videos of kids learning outdoor skills... but I would have liked to see more of the "skills" part (i.e. how they designed their fire lay, what wood they gathered, etc.).

I like that idea of putting the cotton ball on the in of a stick. Great job with the fire.
