Judeo-Christian Values? Kids Agree,God Likes a Good Genocide

This is a clip taken from a Richard Dawkins speech given at RMWC in Lynchburg, VA on 2006/10/23. Some people might claim that Jews and Christians no longer base their values on the barbarous fiction of the Old Testament, but a study of some Jewish schoolchildren shows that some still take this nonsense at face value. It is true that Israeli kids do not have a Jewish "Martyrdom Mouse" on television teaching them to support genocide. But Jewish children agree with their Palestinian counterparts that genocide is a perfectly acceptable, as long as your sky-god says it's OK.

@conraddoavil Bull. If your God cannot do his own dirty work then he is a useless dictator much worse than Hitler. He is suppose to be all-powerful, and all-loving. Hitler wasnt. God could have snapped his fingers and gave everyone their own land peacefully. He didnt. He could have stopped Hitler. He didnt. Those stories are humans looking to justify genocide, nothing more. And ill bet they never imagined that 2000 years later people would still be gullible enough to believe it.

@conraddoavil What rubbish. Many Americans (myself included) do protest the way in which this country was founded through the bloodshed of Native Americans. The fact that I was born here long after and can't do anything about what happened is not my fault. But I can call it what it is--genocide. The ancient Israelites did the same thing.

Hitler was a brutal maniac with no reason to kill anyone other than blaming the Jews for World War 1.

The Hebrew people were slaves in Egypt and were promised by God land that would be theirs. I don't see any Americans spitting in our forefathers face for the genocide of native Americans. (Genocide is the wrong word for dawkins to be using when it comes to the bible. It's fulfillment of the promise God made)
