I think about the jobs that are out there for the majority of working people and I see a system where the least amount of pay is offered and yet so much of that pay is used just for rent, food and transportation. Don't tell someone who can barely pay those things after having to leave his home that he is a deadbeat for not paying the court ordered support. It saddens me that these men must go into debt, especially if they want to spend any time with their kids.

@forttottenrocks Good post! Everybody wants to support their kids. You are right. It is so sad that the children are pulled into a fight between the parents. My suggestion was an effort to get a pay scale going to kids that doesn't KILL the fathers. They work, and feel good about doing the best they can. And the KIDS know that daddy is out there.

You said your in the state of Texas you would know that a person the has to pay if they have a job it is taken out of the check by the state of Texas , now if you work under the table then u need to have your boss take that out of your check for you. It don't matter if you have a new wife and kids, what about the ones you had first, make the the new wife work because you have a oblagation to you children that came first. Its not about the ex wife it's about the kids and whats right.

National Child Support Act? BOYCOTT! Especially if you are not allowed to see your children, no see, no pay. If one parent can not afford to care for the children then both fit and willing parents need to be actively involved in their children's lives. Too many parents, especially fathers who want to spend time with their children are denied and the only reason is the Social Security Act's Title IV-D funding. The Federal Government is funding the destruction of the American family.

What is child support? Both of my parents paid child support yet they were never divorced, how could that be? The true meaning of child support is not dollars as the courts, state and federal government want you to believe. The true meaning of child support is spending time with your child, reading a book, riding bikes, playing games, going for pizza, helping with homework, just being there and showing them that you really do care, THAT is the true meaning of child support.

Every study ever conducted anywhere, and there are hundreds, clearly states that our children need both fit and willing parents to share equally in their lives. Children do not want money, the court does! Children want our love, our time, they want us to pay attention and they thrive on the love of both parents.

Two parents equals twice the love, what carrying being would deny a child the love of both parents? Only those who generate income from separating children from their parents.

This country's "Daddy Tax" is nothing less than extortion. The interest you reference is a scam, interest is owed on money borrowed but this money is never loaned! Why then is there interest charged on money that does not change hands? Federal funding through the Social Security Act's Title IV-D is why.

Why are 84.4% of all non custodial parents the father? Chances are he works and the court finds it easy to separate him from his children and then tell him Child Support is his duty.

The Child Extort Colection Agency is beyond corrupt, their own admit to destroying documents, lieing, gender biased disrcimination, atrocious book keeping and thats just the tip of the iceberg on these robe wearing MAZIA. They routinely force men to pay for children they know arent his and the paternity fraud epidemic is left to be sorted out on Maury and talkshows.
