FallOut 3 Start - Rivet City Run

How to get to Rivet city right after leaving the vault.

This is a support video for "FallOut 3 - Perfect Character Guide".
It shows you how to get to Rivet city as soon as you step out of the vault and start the game, without fighting at all.

--Note--
Though the route in this video works it is faster and safer to simply travel east from megaton, jump into the river, swim south, around the Jefferson memorial, and get back on land heading east.

The reason you want to go to Rivet City, is because the intelligence bobblehead is there. When acquired it increases your intelligence, which in-turn increases the number of skill points you can spend when you level up.

I try to find as many key locations as possible before I enter Megaton (provided I find enough supplies to keep me alive before I have to actually PURCHASE any), which is to say, areas that will make it possible for me to fast travel to early in the game. Hiring the caravan merchants to expand their inventory in Canterbury Commons early in the game is a good idea...being that they provide the HIGHEST repair skill of ANY other merchants in the Capitol Wasteland once you do this.
