I have to agree with those who feel that this is a homogenized version of what is properly a sort of funny/gritty tune. You miss the humor and funk and pathos of the original. Kershaw's version is closer, but the ARA's original version is still tops, in my opinion.

ok so i just listened to ARA's version , stil likin sammys version better,guess its what you are use to hearing or what youve heard first
