@tennisj3 you seem to be familiar with the teaching of Christ.you should also be aware of the fact that Jesus said the poor will always be among us.Its not a problem that will go away.Sometimes God just wants to show his love to people, its not always about works of charity.when mary broke the alabaster jar Jesus didnt rebuke her and get angry for not selling it to give to the poor. Judas did..Jesus is not a social worker.The great commission is not a call to end poverty.

Jesus didnt come to end poverty he came to give people life eternal and hope for the life to come. If God wants to give people precious gems that are beyond monetary value maybe you should accept that and praise God for it.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." So my point was, if I have a bunch of precious diamonds and rubies sitting around and have brothers and sisters all around me suffering from poverty and starvation, maybe there is something wrong with this picture....

@tennisj3 ive dont more than just read Matthew 25, i did what my professor of theology told me to do. I applied the principles of hermeneutics in order to extract the true meaning of that passage. I encourage you to do the same. Your going to be shocked when you find out what Jesus really meant in that passage. I'll leave it at that.im not particularly interested in this conversation.But if you know the Lord then Praise God & continue to do the work that God has put in your heart to do.

I'm from Puerto Rico and these kind of "Miracles" are common, particularly in Protestant Churches. I'm am not going to pass judgement as to whether or not this is true, but i'm inclined to agree with @FollowTheCloud. A true miracle would be to see this church cash in these precious diamonds and rubies to help out the less fortunate...cause that was a lot of ice. And people please, don't try to justify keeping the diamonds and rubies with scripture. You sound like a lawyer quoting a precedent.
