In the Fall of 2003 a Black Hawk helicopter from the New Hampshire Air National Guard landed in the parking lot at Loon Mountain. The chopper arrived to assist in a search and rescue operation.

  • scary, why did they need the helicopter?

  • In the Fall of 2003, a five year old boy went missing. This Blackhawk was brought into help with the search. The next day an additional Black Hawk was brought in, and a Huey.

  • 3 heli's 2 find a frickin kid!?

  • Ground search proved fruitless, so that's why the choppers were called in. They even flew with heat sensors at night. Where this is videotaped (and where I live) is very mountainous so this did make sense. The boy's body was found two days later at the top of Potash Nob, died of exposure.

  • Nice video friend, thanks for sharing with us.

  • @bgbluff the machine is a as good as the pilot....

  • @bgbluff "More malfunctions than any other helicopter theyve crashed and burned more than any other"

    Prove it.

  • Something tells me you have never been a pilot. A real pilot would not compair a Blackhawk and an Apache, two totally different helicopters. Also the Marines dont fly the Apache they have the super Cobras so why would you go from being a pilot to anything else? Idiot.

Also, yes they would call out three helicopters for a search. Its probably a Gaurd unit and thats what they should be doing.

  • Its called dustoff, noobs...

  • You see the red cross on the nose and doors?

The red cross mark this Black Hawk as a HH-60 which is the MEDEVACversion of the UH-60 with 6 barrows inside and some more nice extras;)
