  • @RoathRipper Try searching "Creative Guitar 1: Cutting Edge Tech" by Guthrie. Though its not a DVD series, it's close enough for now! Also, there are tons of written lessons that he has done for "Guitar Techniques" magazine, it just takes a little research to find.

  • "What are you doing?!.....you used to be good!"

  • Funny how many guitarists dont understand tension and resolution when playing. Joe Satriani talks about it and its a good ability to master.

  • @lexusmaxus You should read some books on theory, especially modes and chord construction. This ain't exactly new knowledge :P

  • Totally revelationary , Mr.Govan ... Kudos !!

Moving through traditional blues scale to modal territories & beyond by subtracting notes that's something every player will go ," now why didn't I think about that ?!.,. "

  • 2:47 begins a part which is so important and true for all students of this instrument. Absolutely agree.

  • Incredible audience! Guthrie deserves this!

  • I listen to George Lynch... so the flat 5th doesn't sounding weird at all. :P

  • @willeng84 i agree man, when he ended on it thought it sounded awesome.. i dont get it?

  • He is a really good teacher. So many "lessons" are just someone showing off or playing fast arpeggios and scales that are worthless if you don't know how to apply them to real music.
