@saintbarbara, beleive me there is a reason for shooting deer in scotland you do know that gamekeepers and deer stalkers dont just kill things they control them, because with no natural predation left we are the only thing left able to take one of these amazing animals and without control numbers will reach critical amounts then encouraging inbreeding and eventually starvation when there are so many animals there isn't enough food to go round.

Better to see it from the car than hit it with the car...my Jeep has claimed 2 whitetails here in Michigan, USA. Funny thing is, they hit me coming out of the darkness - caved in my drivers door and bashed a fender. The Red Stag is a far larger and most impressive animal. I'd love to see one safely cross the road in the Highlands too some day.

Stange. The stalkers from Mar Lodge seem to have missed one. No doubts they have caught up with now. Spot light and a deer lick works a treat eh boys?
