One of the best live performances of Exit Music I've ever heard. Chilling.

So wonderful song...beautiful...:(

I'm convinced this is one of the saddest songs ever. It goes from wrist-cutting depressing to epic depressing... whoa...

If any of you guys have time... I would LOVE to hear your freedback and responses to my cover of this tune. I put a decent amount of work into it. It was recorded with my home studio equipment, and has two camera angles. I edited it down with Final Cut. Anyway I just want to know if I did the song justice or not... It's the default on my profile right now... Thanks!

This thread has some of the most interesting comments on Radiohead. Most people miss the connection between them and classical influences. However they openly source Penderecki as an influence. I would suspect Thom does a lot of this by happy accident, where as Johnny is classically trained... A lot of other rock bands are very classical in their approach though... YES comes to mind, as well as other prog rock bands.

Yeah the only classically trained one out of the bunch is Johnny... Who can read music, and also programs his own sampling/synth software. I know Johnny wrote string arrangements for several of their songs. Thom is brilliant at writing and Johnny at arranging... That's the core of the genius of the band. The rest are just brilliant musicians and icing on the cake.

guys, music is meant to be readen and analysed, its meant to be heared and felt.
these Jools Holland clips are always the best.. because there are no stupid fans screaming and yelling, but yet Radiohead are still play the fuck out of this song b/c they know there's an audience there
