The National Rugby League Judiciary tonight (Wednesday, 22 June 2011) has found NOT GUILTY North Queensland Cowboys and Queensland Maroons Halfback Johnathan Thurston of any wrong-doing and also is free to play in the upcoming Round 16 clash in the NRL and also cleared to play in Game III in the 2011 State of Origin Series. The Judiciary started from 6PM to review the situation from the Round 15 match when Thurston made contact with NRL Referee Matt Cecchin in the Cowboys 30-10 win over the New Zealand Warriors. The verdict came after the reading of referee Matt Cecchin's match report, and statements from Thurston and his legal represenative who filed the claim to be cleared which was successful.
