For all those who wondered where their favorites were that didn't make my top 100, here is the #150-101 wrestlers that just missed making the list! And before anyone says how in the world is so and so ranked so low, wrestlers like Bruno Sammartino, Jerry Blackwell, Baron Von Raschke, Ernie Ladd, etc. that had long careers, this ranking is based only on their impact in the "modern era" which covers only the 80's, 90's up to the present.

  • This list just proves how difficult it is to make these types of lists to begin with.

I suppose Bruno missed out on the top 100 because this is about the modern era and his career really just grazes it.

Not too sure how Ahmed Johnson beat some of them, but opinions change over time.

I always think of these lists as an educational tool for wrestling fans who may not have a sense of history in the sport. This might make them investigate the past a bit and come to their own conclusions.

  • You are right about Bruno, and that reasoning also left several other older stars bubbling under. As for Ahmed, I think with all the stuff that came out about him tainted a lot of people's opinion of him. He was hugely over and was getting pushed to the gills. Not saying he was a technical wiz, but I try to be more fan and less smark when I make up any lists connected with pro wrestling. Thanks again for the great comment, TheHeenanFamily. I really appreciate an intelligent and polite critique!

  • wow i thought MVP was going to make he had a great US title run and a great fued with matt hardy but i see why hes not his been in only for 2 years. But i think hes got a great carrer ahead of him so i propbly will see him up in the ranks :)

  • MVP was very close, as was several other active wrestlers, but, as I said before, a lot of my ranking is on the influence a wrestler has on the industry which is usually something that isn't felt until they have been around awhile. Thanks for that vidoe you sent me by the way, abyss. I enjoyed it!

  • thank u sorry for sending it like 20 times it was my 1st time sneidng some i thought it whould leave a message saying like the video was sent and i thought it dident so i keep on doing it untill my friend said stop sneding me it

  • title shots, not David. While David was the best worker of the 3, I think it was always Kerry that was being primed. As for David's ranking, he is kind of like the James Dean of wrestling; James Dean only made 3 movies, but now the way people have built of his legend, you'd think he'd been a movie star for decades. I think a little of that has happened with David. World Class' biggest times came after David's death, it's just sad that David wasn't around longer. Things might have been different.

  • Thanks so much for the kind words chuckgan! As for being better than Chili, I bow in honor of chili, I might not agree with all his rankings, but the guy is putting an incredible amount of work in to his vids. Mine were just a slap dash job. : ) I know the story behind the David getting the NWA world title, and I believe it to an extent, but I also think it has grown a little out of proportion. If you go back and look at the cards, it was Kerry, and even Kevin that were getting the most(con't)

  • Great job wrestlgurl. I think you did a better job than chilipalmer14. However, David Von Erich should have been higher. H e was very over in several promotions and was scheduled to win the NWA world tiltle when he died.

  • Thanks for the comment, foleyfann99! First, let me say that I am not any kind of expert in any way, shape, or form, either. ; ) I am just a fan. Davey Boy's singles career was good, and his IC title win was a fantastic match with Bret Hart, but I think the highlight and strongest point of his career was as one half of the British Bulldogs, and my tag team count down reflects that.

  • You´ve done a great work but you put my favourite wrestler in 141. I´m not an expert in this but I think the British Bulldog deserves to be at least in top 100.
