The F-35 wont replace the A-10! Planners have been saying that for years but the A-10 is just to well designed! If it were up to me I would give the A-10 a "V" tail, more powerful engines and thrust vectoring of sorts. Oh and lighter and tougher composite tub of armor. But I would extend that armor to the entire bottom of the aircraft. Wings and all!...
