And update from the 2004 video of this same sequence...Internal energy practice (Ba Duan Jin) 8 Pieces of brocade kung fu. QiGong Chi Gong Chi kung ect. Just a simple but powerful exercise done with REVERSE BREATHING...e.g.in the first section the belly is sucking in air as the arms are raised and then exhaled as arms come back down...breathing is also audible.

  • There are hundreds of varieties of the 8 brocades. It is surely no problem, when the movements differ from others. But you should keep attention on your breathing. Seems to be 100% breast breathing, but it should be abdominal.

  • @TricksterNr78 most important is breathing and i'm breathing reverse breathing not with the chest.

  • You could benefit more if you would slow it down way more. Try to breathe at the rate of 5 or even 4 breaths per minute, and time your movements accordingly. The slower and deeper your breath, the better. Physiological changes take place in your body when you slow your breathing down to 5 breaths per minute or slower that are very beneficial. Also, pull your abs in and push them out in time to your breathing, if you're not already.

  • @Ge1Ri4 ..I'll post a new video in a month....thanks

  • Thanks for the video i liked it much ... keep training :)

  • You are a bit offroad...

  • I enjoyed this!

  • @Ge1Ri4 Didn't you say you're not even a beginner. Just keep the comments positive if you think people want a "not even beginner's" advice.

  • @Ge1Ri4 What ever man I'm just trying to keep standards up and bs out. So practice if you love it. Plenty of well know instructors but All I was trying to say is avoid pontification and make some measurable improvements.

  • theres nothing to it vogue

  • I think it is such a shame that there is so often so much negativity in peoples response comments. Personally l think it is great that you are still practising and hope you have found the time and effort spent to be beneficial. I also found it to be inspiring enough to make me return to the qigong exercise that l stopped doing some time ago, so many thanks.

  • @DirtDiggler08: LOL! Pot...kettle...black!

Perhaps you are new to YouTube and don't understand that people put up videos precisely because they wish to invite comments? :-D As for the quality of the advice I gave, if you had ever even once studied with any experienced qigong teacher, you would not have made that comment. Unless, of course, you just like to try to provoke people, regardless of whether it's a subject that you have any experience in, or indeed, even have any interest in!
