This looks like an excellent activity to work on foundational conversation skills with a verbal kid. Fruitful back and forth decisions about what the lyrics will be, with mom leading the way. And your emotional connection is lovely, as always.

I love this and use it with my grandson, but he is not really into it and tries to pull away. Any suggestions? You seem so knowledgeable about this stuff.

i'm no expert, that's for sure! At first, i would suggest making it as fun as possible, but not "optional", meaning if he pulls away, you say "no, we're going to do this together"...then do it for a short time, like a minute max. as he gets used to it and understands it won't hurt and may actually be fun, he might even approach you :) good luck.
