Have you ever heard Gorefest's album called "False"? Well, Ed Warby (Gorefest drummer) had to learn all songs, develop his work and record in just TWO weeks ! Ed Warby is a real drummer for sure, Paul is just a guy who likes playing drums like you and me.. that's all.

@iamrubens I think the invented blast beat was named "bombard blast beat" :D Lars Ulrik would be maimed by Paul in a drum battle. I got respect for any 44 year old man that can play blast beats :P

@fejkhippiecharlie Hmmm, i think Paul's developing the same illness that suffers Lars Ulrich...as time goes by they play much worse.

@fejkhippiecharlie Laggy bass pedals was not the problem in this performance. Paul just played too bad...as he usually does. You've mentioned Lombardo as if he was an awesome drummer but he's not either. I'm in agreement with you about jazz and funk drummer...they're the best ones !

@iamrubens Then, there are of course better drummers than Paul. If you wanna find a sick drummer, look at the jazzgenre.
If the bass pedals are laggy, that will affect your drumming performance. There are so many factors that will affect the drumming and just one of them can be a pain in the ass. Go ask Lombardo or any drummer what they think about laggy bass pedals and if that will affect their performance.
