Sang with Todd Buffa in Vocal Jazz II, University of Northern Colorado,

Greeley, Mark Mazur was the director in about fall 1978 or spring of 1979. Gene Aitken directed Vocal Jazz I. UNC Jazz Press has good vocal jazz charts, but I am not sure if any are written by Buffa.

I know Rare Silk is the band, but is this Manhattan Transfer doing the vocals? The tight harmonies are their trademark. I think it is, I used to listen to this a lot in the ealy 80's on a jazz station out of Tuskegee, AL., can't remember the call letters. Can I get a little help on this one.

This is my favorite version of this tune.Great bass line.Kim Stone is the bassist on this and he is makes that Fretless bass really sing.I still have fun jamming on my fretless to this one.

Freddie Hubbard who wrote this tune passed away this year.Thanks Freddie for your decades of great music and influence.R.I.P.
