High Definition view of a NS doublestack near sunset on January 5th. The train is northbound through the Butler St. Interlocking. This video was 8 minutes. I mercifully trimmed it to 3 min. I'm still experimenting with High Def until I can purchase editing software. Keep this in mind if you purchase a High Def camera. My computer has the processing power (2.8 ghz dual core) but Windows XP and Sony don't automatically support AVCHD format. Surround Sound 5.1 sounds great but You Tube doesn't support that. So I film trains in stereo sound for now. The camera is a Sony HDR-SR10
I just bought a used hdr-cx7 but the seller did not have the sony utility disk, picture motion browser? do you need that to upload the flle to your PC. Do you recommend buying it. (30 bucks from sony) or just by Vegas 9? sorry, AVCHD is new to me. I also have a dualcore 2.8.

Picture Motion Browser is pretty much just that, a browser. Not much in the way of editing. It does allow you to move video to your PC though. If Vegas does that too, I'd save the $30 and just but the Vegas 9.
