@pwnUgood Yeah well same with the military, it doesn't help establish a career except if it is doing the exact same thing....and if they don't like you they will ruin your life. There's a reason why so many homeless people are veterans. I joined in 2002 and they used and abused me and broke my faith in government and society at large. I haven't had a career since.

@undeadpresident For certain personality types, the US military might be a good option-- at least they pay you instead of the other way around. Evergreen state college probably won't benefit most young people who are looking for a way to establish careers for themselves.

@undeadpresident I attended Evergreen from 1977 to 1981. Waste of time and money. Evergreen is a nursery school for underacheivers who are looking to pay for entertainment and hobby activities. Academic quality is lower than your average community college. If you have any concern for your future or respect for yourself you shuld find a better school.

@luckpuncher good to see you had no ambition even when you went there. that's why it's called student-motivated studies. if you're not motivated, you're not going to learn and grow. i start there this fall and i absolutely cannot wait! :)

not really the college that bothers me(yez payz de money, yez getz..) or the "trustafarians" ,rich kids on"stipend, sent west to get rid of them till they get a grip (more dirty blonde dreads than nappy dreads)". it's more about the lame videos of olympia. add the subarus ,which are mandatory for rich east coast kids, and the horrible "indie" so-called music. but they do buy lots of overpriced coffee and WEED, so some are happy. our future hillary's and baracks! god bless.

Lackadaisical teachers with political agendas out of the late '60s, arrogant bureaucratic management, no grades, no goals, no lesson plan, aimless, pointless, navel-gazing, phony imitation of a college. Should be padlocked and fumigated.

I went there in the late '70s and it was a complete wste of time. No teaching, just "learning on your own." Maybe it's better now. I should have left after one term.
