  • I love the Johnny Cash footage Don. Thank you and let's have a coffee some time. You have been in the music industry for quite some time and I am only getting to know your awesome musicianship. My regards. Joseph N

  • @Selur1000 I believe I read that he had an album to release after this performance, but it never saw the light of day. To answer your question, this is the only performance of the song unless you track him down and he happens to remember it. Too bad, too... cause it's a great song.

  • Does anybody know where I can find this song. A clear version of it? Or does anyone know where I can find any of his music?

  • @kyaroru55

So now you should return it. It's very hard to find Freed's recordings and don't other people deserve to hear it too? There's an extra-awful place in HELL for people who steal from libraries, depriving their fellow man of opportunities to hear the art their taxes paid for. Depriving the artist of fair exposure. Shame on you, loser.

  • Canadian born and well written. Cash should've been amazed from this performance.

  • "Come Away From the Roadside", what a beautiful song....

  • oh my god....

  • i wish don freed would have made more folk albums. i stole his tape from the (mayfair) library in stoon. (shhhh) hahaha.

  • one of the greatest songs i've ever heard, i'm going to do a cover of it for my talent show next year, this song is too good to not get noticed, i'll make sure don freed gets full credit for it too, it's a shame this song wasn't released. cool that he helps young people write songs though. Way to go Don wherever you may be.

  • Thanks for letting me know!
