Monster Fish Caught in the Columbia River By The Dalles

My Son and I took turns landing this big fish. We caught 4 in less than 2 hrs. It took us an average of 30 minutes to bring them up to the boat. One fish was so big we did not get to see it before it snapped the 80 lb. test line we were using. No fish were harmed as they were release in the water at the boat. Our best estimates on this one is somewhere in the neighborhood of 9.5 to 10.5 ft. in length and in the range of 450 - 600 lbs.
