With a philips head screwdriver and a half an hour, turn an old laptop into $200 and a slick external harddrive. Reuse saves more energy and materials than recycling, and you make some money in the process.
can i remove my laptop asus 15'6 screen its folded in half the entire top pice of the laptop and use a monter insted will the laptop still run if its removed
Some of those power cells in laptop batteries are still working. I have covered many battery needs in my electrical projects by using them again. But You must be carefull when extracting them. :-)
ok, we have a screen, some ram... but would it be possible to turn that keyboard into a usb keyboard? and same with the touchpad? Not that a keyboard or a touchpad is too expensive. It's just that everything's here. Why not reuse it?

My 2005 laptop was just as easy to rip apart. You just have to poke around, and figure out which screws to take apart first.
