@AidanLunn He's not using a natural Welsh accent anyway, the guy's "sexing it up" for comedic effect on like Antoine de Caunes puts on an over the top French accent, and the Big Brother "dee-er foo-our" faux Geordie/Teeside mish-mash voiceover. 5 Star is supposed to be funny and quirky... or something. They're all pre-recorded anyway.

new 5usa announcer has the weakest voice .. much prefered that other dude; he gots a much more deep american sounding voice than that pansy ass introducing shows now, urhh

That doesn't sound "awful" - just a load of rambling nonsense!
That guy with the really heavy Welsh accent on "Five Star" - now he really gets on my nerves.
I thought the idea of an announcer is to announce in an accent that anyone of that language can understand.
Bit of a mammoth task when his accent is so deep and difficult to decipher that he sounds like he came off Hi-De-Hi!
