i used a long wrap 5m and braided it loosely (not chain-knotted) and then tied the ends together to make a secure knot and use it as a "bum seat" for a very quick up/down carry!

  • the braided effect looks good, but overall it does not help you to be "hands free"

  • this is just something to do with your braided wraps if you have 'em laying around, like i do :) its quick to throw the braid on and basically it just helps ya get baby from say the changing station to the playmat without lugging their entire weight on your arm, and without doing a full wrap job or fiddling with a sling. also sometimes slings can be hot (i live in GA).

  • I would also love to know how to braid the wrap! I am waiting on my first wrap, a didymos to arrive, and I've seen to braid it to break it in. I just can't figure out how to get 3 "strands" to braid?

  • neat, I totally understand what you mean about "without holding their entire weight on your arm" it gets heavy after a while. Very nice idea!!!

  • i really like this idea but can you please show how you braid the material.
