  • And if I want to hear all the band in my in-ear monitors what I should do?

  • Hi;

    If you want the whole band simply turn your IEM aux send up on every channel, alternatively use a matrix, mono, mix insert or some other output that would normally have 'the whole band' in it and return this to a spare input on the console; now you have one aux control adjusting the whole mix BUT in this scenario if you change the setup to the main mix is will affect what you hear in your IEM system.

  • Hi; sorry for our delay in replying to you... Can you please clarify what you mean by your comment / question?

  • Why would you do a monitor mix pre fader? If you do it post and your faders are set at 0 dB, you can follow the music and it will affect every monitor... Right?

  • Monitor mixes are normally pre fade as the level requirements for each individual monitor mix and main PA are separate and as you increase/decrease levels in main mix you would not want this to affect the monitor mixes... There are of course exceptions but this is the general rule especially if the one console is doing house PA and monitor duties.

  • Could you please tell me where you would plug an In Ear Monitor transmitter into the mixing console (powered).

    Thanks

  • This would connect to whichever AUX OUT of the mixer is used to create the mix for the artist wearing the in-ear set.

  • How about mixing from the monitor board? I've always wondered about monitor boards

  • @SoundcraftUK Thx for your reaction. Indeed if the same console is doing FOH, of course its pre fade. I ment it in a seperate monitor desk situation, where I always do the job post fade with good results. PS: Looking forward to the SI compact digital console of your brand. Cheers!
