Crash and Burn (Sign Language Video)

I'm not really sure how this went because I'm still learning sign language, but let me know what you think. Constructive criticism only please. Thanks for watching:)

one of the best one I have seen. Easy to follow thank you so much for doing this video. Is it ok if I make a copy for my students who are in Junior High School in Japan? Part of the study that they do in English is a basic sign language section of their book to show them about communication.

@oblufire: Sure, but you should know, I was only in ASL 1, I believe. One or two, when I did this. It's really word for word. I'm glad you like it but looking at it now, I don't think it's that great. I also used AUSL for the main verse too. But if you want to use it, I have absolutely no problem at all with that, I just wanted to let you know this ahead of time. Thanks for the nice comment! =)

Thank you. I'm now in ASL 3. With being in college each level of ASL only lasts about 3 months. It's a lot different than high school. I thought it was at least. In college you tend to be pushed as hard as they can push you to learn they cram that whole year into only a small amount of time. Im glad you enjoyed my video. I need to make more sometime, Im just not a fan of editing so I'm not sure when that will happen lol. Thanks for the comment.

i just realized that the "you're not alone" part is different from the sign language of darren hayes in the mtv of this song. I'm just asking if this is the AuSL part of the video? By the way, it's a very good song. And i hope you can do more songs in sign language

Its funny you asked the whole chours is AUSL except for the word alone and thats because I couldnt see it but I watched his video a few times just now and saw that he used what looks like the sign for "only one." I dont know AUSL so I'm not sure it has another meaning or not but thats what it looks like to me. Everything between the chours is ASL though. I also do hope to make more videos I Ill admit I'm so lazy when it comes to making videos I like making them but hate editing them.

This was the first video I saw in complete ASL back in 2008. I learned the song and, as it turns out, my boyfriend's father and his wife are deaf. I was able to keep up with some that was signed between his deaf father and ASL-learned hearing mother. It was the first time that he had met his father in person, as he lives on the other side of the country. I am so happy that I was able to understand. Your video got me back into ASL. We are now engaged. I am now learning to sign my vows. Thank you!

@ativeanaer darren misses out loads of words but i still cant keep up i have written down the words he does but and i still cant keep up sign is so hard especially to music im gonna learn it

You did a great job, but you are signing the word "like" wrong for this concept. You should be signing "same". This is in the very beginning of the song.
