  • @herman5050 i think what youve got there is a burst water pipe....liquefaction is when the ground takes on the properties of a liquid. liquefaction only occurs when there is shaking

  • @jimmyreed112 this is what people refer to as a sand volcano which appears after an earthquake, we had many of them form in our yard after the 6.3 earthquake we had on the 22nd of February in Christchurch., We also had extensive liquefaction after the September 7.1 earthquake. We dont have enough pipes running through our backyard for this to be caused by burst pipes. The sand you see in the video has all come up through the ground, covering the stones on our garden.
