A TV feature about the French countertenor Philippe Jaroussky. It contains clips from a concert, from his rehearsals, an interview, etc. Thanks to Alrick54 who made the translation :-)

  • Wow, now THAT'S a rare kind of voice -- a contratenor who can actually sing the old Baroque opera music written for the castrati. (He actually sounds like a real castrato.) Counter-tenors normally sound like...well, men with their pants on too tight.

  • I LOOOOOVE HIS VOICE!

  • He is the finest.... ever!

  • Thank you for uploading this with the subtitles. I really appreciate it.

  • Que voz tan preciosa tenes. Sos increible, se me imagina que es la voz de un angel.

  • Effectivement! Le "Oui oui" est incomparable pour mettre la voix en action, pas seulement pour les contre-ténors géniaux!

  • Great voice and great effort!

  • Thanks for the English subtitles! I sure wish he'd come to the USA. I would love to see him live!

  • Thanks a lot

    :D

  • It's "Sovente il Sole" from Andromeda Liberata. It's on his Vivaldi "Heroes" CD.
