no one can know God's mercy.. i have never heard of Orthodox doctrine that say's other wise...man cannot determine another persons salvation...its up to God ! that is my understanding of Orthodoxy.

awesome i just had a retreat where he gave most of the talks...he's my father of confession and he's amazing and he changes lives...how do i know? he changed mine through God

Praise God for FatherAnthony. Let me preface this comment by saying: I am not Egyptian, nor Coptic. I am a Catholic. And I just happened to come across 1 of Father Anthony's sermons when I was searching for Christian Orthodox Sermons. I haven't stopped listening since.He is truly an inspiration and His teachings have truly helped to strengthen my own faith and spiritual walk. Those on the Amazing Race, Real Dating and Finding the Strength to Go on have touched me more than I could say.Shukran!

Salvation....can you imagine, of all the world's people, only a smidgeon are of the Coptic faith?  And only those will be saved? Sigh....if G-d had wanted me to be Egyptian, He would have made me so. I love St. Mark's Church, but I think people are not quoting their faith accurately.

I don't know if he said that. However, while the Church saves, and other "churches" etc are misguided, false, or satanic; ultimately salvation is in God's hands.

i listened to a sermon of his about the orthodox church in which he stated that people other than orthodox can be "saved" so to speak. this is inconsitent with orthodox doctrine. outside of the orthodox church there can be no salvation, if you arent partaking in the sacraments which are essential for salvation.
