Although New Orleans celebrated Mardi Gras this year we should never forget the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and how many lives have been changed forever by this sad event in history. I produced this slideshow to honor the people of Louisiana.

im 100% cajun and damn proud of it..but this hurts because im not currently living in louisiana(im from around the bayou)..i moved about 6 years ago. i sat infront of the tv,watched the news and cried for weeks my family was affected by katrina.and sorry if u were too. im sorry if i dont know how u feel..but at the time i feel ur pain. :). god bless la(louisiana)

Louisiana has mutants as residents, they are very slow. Although the residents are incredibly stupid, they exhibit marked evolutionary advancement akin to that of cockroaches--hurricanes, toxic oil spills--no matter what happens, Louisiana just will NOT GO AWAY. All efforts to completely eradicate Louisiana have thus far been thwarted. You see, America, what happens when you give Louisiana a dollar and a cigarette? It comes right back the next day wanting something else.

oh wow this one made me cry, every time i see Catrina footage i get depressed just thinking of that day, the news, the smell of death was in the air for months but the 1st few weeks was horrible.. i watched trees going down the road like cars and we lost our home to a tornado that came out of it. I wont ever forget seeing dead bodies in the air being transported....

I got to laugh, you all blame Bush but you knew far in advance to leave, I know some people could'nt due to financial reasons, health or no where to go, youre mayor had days to evacuate it, make it mandatory, send in 1000's of school buses to help the poor the elderly the people that needed the help, he chose no to..
