Do you suffer from an unsightly itchy, flaky scalp or growing dandruff especially during the colder months? This apple cider vinegar remedy will get you back on track in no time. This works wonders. Really!

Itchy Scalp Recipe
Mix 4 cups of warm water and 1/3 cup of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar in a large bowl. Mix and pour over head after shampooing your scalp. You can follow up with another lather of shampoo if you want, but the scent does go away really soon.

The shampoos I used were Nizoral and Kera Care for color treated hair (not shown).

*Don't have time to shampoo. Rub some extra virgin coconut oil on your scalp. It will relieve the itching temporarily until you have time to use this remedy.

  • Do you have to use this just once and all of the dandruff goes away? Or do you use it everytime you shampoo?

  • @Myobokuuzan I would use it with each shampoo as long as the problem persists. It will remove all of the dandruff each time. I let my hair dictate how often I use it. At first, I had to use it once every 3 days, then 5, then 7 and finally two weeks. When u use it, the problem will get better. I tend to wash my hair every two weeks on average.

  • OMG, I got to try this! I live in the uk...so I'm not sure they have bragg's ACV.... but can I use another brand?? pls let me know!!!

  • @flowerbomb112 Yes. You can use any brand as long as it's apple cider vinegar. You can find the organic brands at health food stores in your area.

  • My hair has been itching bad since I did the big chop but I do have some Braggs Vinegar and I will definitely use it tonight.

  • @Cymone777 That's great. You'll enjoy it. I heard the heat in our homes contributes to the itchy scalp because it's drying our hair out. I don't know about that for a fact, but my hair has been itchy since it's gotten colder and I keep the heat on like 75 degrees.

  • @amarige25 Ah I see :) I bought a shampoo from my local indian store, and they have the anti-dandruff one that has lemon, yogurt and mints :) But I will use it alongside your apple cider vinegar recipe :)

So far, my dandruff problem isn't as bad as it was before when I was using the l'oreal shampoo and conditioner for colour treated hair :) I think I was allergic to some ingredient in there or something o.o Anyways, I'm hoping my dandruff problem will get better soon! :D

  • I have to try this! My dandruff is so bad! I'm afraid to go out in public. Dandruff is ruining my life!

  • I just like her excitement it makes me smile lol...I have dreads I've seen videos like there where they add baking soda to the remedy...never tried it so I might

  • Do you know that my mom used to use vinegar on my hair every single time she would wash my hair when I was a young girl?? I totally forgot about that. Great video.

  • @yastillicheat about 1-2 minutes. Not long at all. It will give your scalp a calming effect and it will give your scalp a soothing effect too. Good luck.
