Hi,
I don't know if you mind helping me, but I am in a middle of a situation. I bought a 16x2 LCD (NMTC-S16205DFYHSAY) and im using atmega128 to control it. I replicated your LCD code and I connected the circuit to the processor expansion board.
The LCD when i change the pot changes contrast but I see no cursor of any characters outputted from the MCU.
I tested all the connections numerous times, everything seems good. could it be the LCD screen??

These videos are beyond compare. I thank you for such fantastic tutorials. I am a hobbyist trying to learn micro-controller based circuits and programming. I am a beginner and I owe a lot to you. Thank you, keep it up!

Really great videos. This has been extreemly helpfull for me in understanding how microkontrollers work and how to get started with them. Looking forward to seeing more in this "series". I think it's excelent that you have made a playlist of this series of tutorials, making it that much easier to watch. Only drawback watching them is the background noise. It often sounds as thow they are recorded in a preschool. But despite this, excelent Videos! Keep it up!

@Keltrunner Thanks for the kind words. Regarding the background noise, I am doing these videos on the weekends and after work, which is the time that my children are the most active. I will do my best to record during more appropriate time frames that present less background noise.

Thanks for getting back to me. Might I add that you might offer the chip you are using also. There are several different ones available and some of us don't know the difference in the different versions or what the additional letters mean in the version. I have purchased many things from one dealer and they have taken advantage of everyone on their shipping (70 dollars worth of parts and 45 dollars in shipping). All the parts purchased could have fit in a postal 5 dollar shipping box! Thanks

@amtpdb1 That's great to know. I will definitely offer the MCU and all of the prototyping products on the videos. As videos come available, I will also make the sensors available, such as accelerometers, gyros, GPS's, photo sensors, etc.
