I'm just an old hillbilly from Atlanta and me and my buds have been listening to Cake since Motorcade came out and have all their albums. I didn't think college rock and country could even be mixed, but here is the proof!

@lspan1561 Jolene is living a life of repetition, the things she does in the first verse, (Unlocking the door as she'd done 100 times before, folds the towel, smooths her hair) she's done them over and over for all her life, she's bored. The singer seems attracted to her at some level, he wants her, but more than that he wants to show her the world and how much there is out there (I want to throw you into space). In the end it seems Jolene either runs away or attempts to. Great song
